Albanian Government Council of Ministers

The legalization process for all houses was completely concluded today in the Municipality of Selenicë, Vlorë. The last legalization document was delivered personally by Prime Minister Edi Rama to the family of Llambi Pertraj, in his house now formalized.

The residents thanked the Prime Minister not only because legalizations were made in a short time, but also because every procedure was carried out in their homes and the process was for free.

The Prime Minister noted that there is a huge difference with the past, when the focus of legalizations was business, but there is still a lot to be done. “They issued 21 thousand legalizations in 8 years, and most of them were not for homes but for cafeterias, hotels, motels, storehouses, swimming pools, trampolines, so, for business, and in most cases they caused a lot of damage to the state as legalization were made in public parks, in archaeological sites, in fortresses, etc. This is an extraordinary change, but it is not enough”, the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister explained also that “work for the first stage of the river highway have begun. There are another three stages. One of the segments includes also Selencië, so you will be directly connected to the Levan highway. We had to redo the projects, as the existing one was shameful, with a shameful tender.”

As he mentioned some sectors where change is visible such as energy, education, health, etc. the Prime Minister noted that the foundation remains Justice Reform, which needs to be implemented in order for the government to serve the citizens properly. “The main base is Justice Reform. If it is not implemented, we cannot be where we need to be in order to say: these are the foundations. Because justice is the foundation. And it will be done.”
