Prime Minister Edi Rama, on an official visit to the United States of America, met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres at the UN Headquarters in New York, just a few weeks after Albania started its two-year term as member of the UN Security Council, where the country has just taken over the responsibility as a co-penholder with the United States.
During this mandate, Albania sits at the highest table for the world’s peace, security and stability. As a member of the Security Council for the 2022-2023 term, Albania is ready to offer its contribution to the interest of peace and security, human rights and sustainable international development.
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka attended the meeting.
