The Western Balkans Leaders’ Summit, together with senior representatives of the European Union dedicated to the Growth Plan for the region, is taking place in Skopje, North Macedonia. The agenda focuses on discussions surrounding economic cooperation, reforms, and integration into the Common Regional Market.

Prime Minister Edi Rama and other regional leaders are being welcomed today by the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, at the opening of the main session titled “Stability, Unity, Future.” Prime Minister Mickoski and the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, will deliver keynote addresses to the participants.

The central focus of the discussions is the evaluation of the Growth Plan, proposals for new initiatives, and economic cooperation through the Common Regional Market. These topics will be addressed in two discussion panels:

Panel I: “The Growth Plan: Evaluation, Next Steps, and Communication” – This panel will assess the Growth Plan across all of its pillars and include discussion on the proposed initiatives under Pillar 1 (Tourism, Consumer Protection, and the “Highway” to the Common Market), as well as the links to the Common Regional Market. Prime Minister Edi Rama and other leaders will take part in this panel discussion.

Panel II: “Deep Dive into the Growth Plan Pillars” – This panel will bring together EU Affairs Ministers, EU representatives, regional organizations, and implementation partners.
