Immediately after the situation created by the heavy rainfall in some areas of the country, under the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi, the coordination group met in the Prime Minister’s Office to follow the situation on an ongoing basis.
The group consists of Minister of Interior, Minister of Energy and Industry, Minister of Defense, Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Health.
The Minister of Agriculture has been for several hours in the areas affected by the heavy rainfall. The Minister of Agriculture is following the situation in loco.
In addition, several Army forces have been engaged with logistical tools to assist civilian emergency headquarters launched in every district.
The coordination group is monitoring hourly the data coming from all civil emergency staffs of each district and it assures the citizens of the affected areas that all appropriate measures have been taken to face any possible situation.
