THE NATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WAS ESTABLISHED TODAY ON INITIATIVE OF PRIME MINISTER EDI RAMA SUPPORTED BY THE PRIME MINISTER OF KOSOVO, MR. HASHIM THACI.

The agreement was signed in Kukës by the president of “Business Albania”, Mr. Luan Bregasi and the chairman of “Kosovo Business Alliance” Mr. Agim Shahini, in the presence of Prime Minister Rama, Prime Minister Thaçi and other guests.

Considering the establishment of this Chamber as a significant event occurring in a remarkable day, Prime Minister Rama noted that the National Chamber of Commerce is a new idea for a new reality for entrepreneurs.

The President of “Business Albania” considered the establishment of the National Chamber of Commerce as very important for creating a better environment and further promoting private entrepreneurship. “This is a beautiful day for us Albanian entrepreneurs, because together with our brothers in Kosovo, the “Kosovo Business Alliance “and entrepreneurs from Montenegro, Macedonia and Presevo, we are celebrating the establishment of the National Chamber of Commerce. Of course, the environment was already prepared because we cooperate with each other, but an institution was needed to create a better environment for private enterprises, to facilitate us by removing barriers, assisting with taxes and promoting entrepreneurship on both sides” – Bregasi said.

In his speech, the President of “Kosovo Business Alliance”, Mr. Agim Shahini welcomed this initiative by two prime ministers, an initiative that has become already reality, and emphasized that the establishment of the National Chamber of Commerce will empower even more Albanian businesses in all areas.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prime Ministers Rama and Thaçi received from the President of Kukës Football Club and club members signed T-shirts of the Kukës Football Club.

The establishment of the National Chamber of Commerce concluded the agenda of celebration activities for the 15th anniversary of the Kosovo Albanians exodus.
