In the framework of his visit to the Municipality of Lezha, north-western Albania, Prime Minister Edi Rama today visited a number of Roma and Egyptian community families that were handed over keys to their newly-built homes after losing their previous dwellings in the devastating earthquake that hit the country in November 2019.
Sixteen families from Roma community moved into their new homes that were built under a donation provided by Halil Kastrati, a Kosovo Albanian.
– “May you enjoy your new houses. Wish you health and happiness together with your children, grandparents and everyone else. These are now your properties thanks to the contribution provided by Halil, who stood by us at that very difficult moment. We will continue working to deliver on every pledge we have made to meet all the needs of citizens in Lezha,” the Premier said.
In the meantime, work is underway on construction of nine more single-family homes in the Sheher neighbourhood in the city of Lezhe.
