Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Press release

While the legal office of the Prime Minister is concluding the criminal and civil lawsuit procedure against the Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group Edi Paloka, another double lawsuit is being prepared against the DP Secretary General, Arben Ristani.

Arben Ristani will also be sued for the same monstrous defamation whereby, both professional slanderers who are also DP’s senior officials, intended to connect in a criminal way the criminal world with the government and the Prime Minister personally.

This orchestrated attempt to use crime against the government and the Prime Minister requires a serious criminal investigation as well as a thorough civil trial.

Both the leader of the DP group and its organizational leader should definitely show evidence on their allegations in front of prosecutors and judges. Albania can nowise have a Prime Minister connected to any crime whatsoever. Albanians deserve full transparency for everything they have heard from senior officials of the Democratic Party.

Prime Minister Edi Rama ensures everyone that a single proof of this nature is enough for him to retire from politics and be at the disposal of justice. But on the other hand, the Prime Minister of Albania is determined to use every legal instrument against this dangerous policy which aims the criminalization of politics in the eyes of Albanians and, even worse, intends to use crime in favour of the darkest interest that threaten society.

By ensuring all Albanians indiscriminately that this government is fighting and will increasingly fight crime and anyone who violates the law, the Prime Minister also ensures Albanians that the anti-crime cries of the opposition are an encouraging expression of the fact that the strong foundations of the old cooperation between politics and crime are being shaken.
