Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Edi Rama, on a visit to the United States of America, was welcomed by the U.S. automotive industry executives, who are interested in investing in Albania, during a meeting at the headquarters of the Automation Alley, a non-profit Industry know-how centre based in Detroit, Michigan.

The government head met with the director of Automation Alley’s International Business Services and Global Strategic Partnerships, Noel Nevshehir, and other senior representatives with talks focusing on Albania’s potential in this aspect. The interlocutors agreed on an Automation Alley mission to closely explore Albania’s market and opportunities for investment.  “Today we were extended welcome by a group of U.S. automotive industry representatives at the Automation Alley, where we discussed Albania’s opportunities and where we were met with interest to learn more about Albania and we eventually agreed that an Automation Alley mission will visit Albania to see firsthand and better understand what is going on with the open Balkans and this market’s transformation into a free and much bigger market that provides Albania with a much more favourable position to attract foreign investment,” PM Rama said after the meeting.

On his part, the Director of International Business Services and Global Strategic Partnerships, Noel Nevshehir, a good friend and benevolent towards Albania and Albanians, said that Automation Alley highly praises this partnership with mutual benefit for both countries. “I have been in Albania back in 1984. The Albanians are the warmest and the friendliest people you would meet on earth. I have travelled to 84 countries, but Albanians are just so wonderful. We are fortunate here in Michigan to have a population of 120,000 Albanians, many of whom are our friends and co-workers, and you actually met them earlier today. I want to let Albania know that we really appreciate our mutual beneficial friendship between both countries. We at the Automation Alley in the state of Michigan are working to begin organizing a trade mission to Albania and we look forward to going there and take advantage of the warmth and friendliness that the country has to offer. Again, we are fortunate that America has such a great friend in Albania and I look forward to seeing everybody when we come to Albania next year,” he said in remarks after the meeting.
