On the eve of the New Year, Prime Minister Edi Rama wished the Albanian people a successful year ahead, filled with good health and joy in every home.

There is an entire year ahead to climb, but each year has only one day to descend.

This year, we have taken Albania higher than ever before, and in the year that is about to begin, as well as in the years that follow, we will continue to climb to the summit, where it will remain long after we are gone—at the heart of the great home of the United European Family.

But today, for us, the travelers of this world, it is that one special day to descend and be with our families, welcoming the New Year.

So, tonight, I will do no more than wish you all a New Year filled with progress, with perfect health, prosperity, and happiness in your homes.
