In the framework of his official visit to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Edi Rama met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Prime Minister Ali Asadov. The two praised the very good relations between the two countries and expressed shared readiness of both governments to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. 

Prime Minster Rama also met with the Parliament Speaker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova. Rama and Gafarova lauded the friendly relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of parliamentary cooperation between Albania and Azerbaijan, not only to further strengthen these relations, but also to give an impetus to expansion of economic cooperation in energy, tourism, agriculture, food industry, etc.

Prime Minister Edi Rama also visited Martyrs Cemetery and memorial in Baku, where he laid wreath and bowed with respect to pay tribute to the fallen war martyrs.
