RITECH, a well-known leader in the technology industry, which began its operations in 2016, has established a strong employment network and activity in the region, with around 500 employees engaged in Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. RITECH, recognized for its products that are exported to cities in America and Europe, continues to develop innovative applications and systems for parking management, which are now being used by some of the biggest global names, such as Maersk, Siemens, and Virgin Voyages.

Prime Minister Rama, accompanied by the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Delina Ibrahimaj, met with the leaders of RITECH, where they held an open discussion focused on advancing technology and the opportunities it offers. During the conversation, they emphasized the importance of investments in artificial intelligence and technological innovations for creating new employment opportunities for citizens, particularly for the youth.

The Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Delina Ibrahimaj, highlighted the significance of developing innovative sectors as part of policies supporting entrepreneurship and creating new opportunities for economic renewal. “RITECH has proven to be a successful model of integrating technology and developing products that not only contribute to economic development but also create opportunities for employment and professional growth in the region,” said Minister Ibrahimaj.

Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed support for the progress made by the company in the technology sector, as well as for the development of opportunities to apply artificial intelligence in urban solutions and monitoring systems. He emphasized that the Albanian government is committed to supporting initiatives of this kind, focusing on projects that enable citizens to benefit from the most advanced technology in their daily lives.

“As part of a potential collaboration, we discussed the possibility of integrating parking applications with camera systems and real-time data analysis, which would enable more efficient management of spaces and the prediction of potential issues, such as accidents or violations,” said Rama.

He also emphasized the importance of using “Big Data” technology and artificial intelligence to predict events, bringing significant benefits in urban management, accident prevention, and crime fighting.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Rama highlighted that the government’s support for projects like RITECH, which foster the development of technology and innovation, is key to creating new employment opportunities and enhancing local capacities. He emphasized that through investments in advanced sectors such as artificial intelligence and urban management, new opportunities are being created for young people and professionals, thus contributing to strengthening the economy and the sustainable development of the country. The government will continue to support and promote initiatives that create space for job growth and the development of new sectors, aiming to modernize infrastructure and improve services for citizens.
