Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is currently on an official visit to Spain for the “Español Universal Award” ceremony, was received today by King Felipe VI at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. Following their meeting, the King hosted a reception in honor of Albania, attended by members of the board of the World Jurist Association, a prestigious international organization composed of lawyers, judges, academics, and legal professionals from around the world. The event took place on the eve of the signing of the agreement for the World Law Congress Albania 2027, a major international event that will be held in Tirana in 2027 and is expected to bring together approximately 3,000 legal experts from supreme courts and judicial systems worldwide.

Among the distinguished guests at the reception was Javier Cremades, President of the World Jurist Association, President of the law firm Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo, 2024 recipient of the Spanish Universal Award from the non-governmental organization Fundación Independiente, and the founder of the World Justice Foundation in Spain, which has positioned Spain as a key hub for international cooperation among top judges from five continents.

Other notable figures in attendance included Cándido Conde-Pumpido, President of the Constitutional Court of Spain; Stephan Harbarth, President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany; Ulsi Manja, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Albania; and several other prominent figures from the legal and judicial sectors.

This prestigious gathering marked a significant moment in Albania’s efforts to host the 2027 World Law Congress and further strengthen its international legal ties.
