Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama paid tribute to the renowned translator, scholars and linguist Petro Zheji who passed away yesterday evening at age 86.

The tribute ceremony was attended by friends, colleagues, personalities of politics and art, as well as by many citizens.

Earlier, Prime Minister Rama wrote a message of condolence in which expressed deep sorrow for the loss of the linguist Petro Zheji. “Unmatched language Master who through his translations made Don Quixote speak Albanian as if he were born here” – the Prime Minister wrote.
