Prime Minister Edi Rama chose the high school “Sadi Nuri” in Ndroq, to wish “Good luck” to all preschool pupils who started today the new school year. The Prime Minister chose the school “Sadi Nuri” also because this year this school comes with a novelty for its students. They will learn in classrooms, labs and other learning environments that are newly renovated, and provide new standard to all of them. Meanwhile, works on the sport fields are expected to be completed.

“We wish you much success. You had a long vacation, now you cannot help but wake up early and come to school. This school has been improved significantly, as you can see. There are many good students, there are many good teachers. We have great respect for the work done here by the school teachers, but also for students who are excellent. You have followed the debate on the state Matura and the graduates who enter university, so roll up your sleeves because the fun is over. Come on!” – the Prime Minister whished the new school year to students amid jokes.

In conveying her wishes on the new school year, Minister Nikolla noted that this year will be dedicated to teachers: “Those who start high school this year will find a completely new situation in your favour, for the load has been alleviated and unified, and this will not only enable a new quality for you, but, obviously, to continue with your aptitudes, with your interests, in addition to facilitating the work of teachers who will help achieve better results. I wish success to all the students of this school, and obviously to the teachers. This is a year that will be dedicated to teachers, to be next to them in a new system of qualification, so that your results will be the ones you deserve.”

Erdi Muça, one of the students, said that the visit of Prime Minister Rama and Minister of Education Lindita Nikolla marks an important day, for today he celebrates also his 16thbirthday. Along with his best wishes, Prime Minister Rama gave him two books by two authors who are the pride of the Albanian literature, Ismail kadare and Dritëro Agolli, “Kronikë në gur” (Chronicle on Stone) and “Zhurma e erërave të dikurshme” (The sound of yesteryear’s winds). “Your age allows you to read this book I brought you. It is one of the most beautiful books in the history of the Albanian literature, and a masterpiece of the world literature written by Ismail Kadare, and it is “The sound of yesteryear’s winds”. You can go on Facebook, but you must read books”, – the Prime Minister said.

The atmosphere got warmer following the jokes the Prime Minister exchanged with the students, who responded instantly to the benevolent harassment by the Prime Minister. “How do you feel being 16?”, the Prime Minister asked Erdi who promptly answered: “One year older”. Minister Nikolla wished also Erdi on his birthday and on the new school year.

The Prime Minister met also Faslli Jashari, a former teacher of physical education of this school who retired this year. The focus of their talk was sports grounds, and the Prime Minister assured him that they will be fixed soon.

The high school “Sadi Nuri” was reconstructed in 2016 with an investment worth over 27 million ALL, while over 3 million ALL have been spent to furnish the necessary materials.
