Over the first two weeks of September only, the Anti-Corruption Task Force has focused its activity on detailed inspections in several regional institutions in Shkodra district, including:
Regional Immovable Property Registration Office in Shkodra
Regional ALUIZNI Directorate in Shkodra
Shkodra Regional Hospital

In their final reports, the inspection groups have recommended 21 disciplinary actions and that nine people get fired from job, notably:
5 specialists at the Regional Immovable Property Registration Office in Shkodra;
1 sector head and 1 specialist at ALUIZNI Directorate in Shkodra.
Just like in the previous case in the Regional Immovable Property Registration Office in Shkodra that was made public a day ago, when the chief registrar and the institution’s assigned lawyer were arrested, the Ministry of Justice and the Central Immovable Property Registration Office decided to immediately fire the head of the Regional Office in Shkodra and the lawyer.
The inspections carried out by the inter-institutional groups have found out violations and abuses involving elements of criminal offenses on abuse of office charges and indictments have been filed with the Prosecution Office in Shkodra.
Indictments have been filed against various-level employees, including:
Former Director of Shkodra Regional Hospital on charges of abuse of office through actions that have damaged the institution’s activity in delivering health services to the citizens, serious violation of procedures on management of medical waste and provision of supplies with needed medicines.
Former ALUIZNI Director, 3 former sector heads, 1 sector head and one specialist on abuse of office charges by legalizing informal buildings without respecting due procedures;
The Anti-Corruption Task Force remains totally focused and committed to addressing any denunciations and information provided by the citizens. The Task Force remains committed to verifying their concerns and problems and hold responsible the corrupt elements in the state institutions.
I would like to invite citizens to keep on filing their denunciations and complaints via the platform “Albania We Want.al” in order to step up fight against corruption and leave no room and opportunity for all individuals who see work at the state administration as a chance to earn illicit profits.
The shared institutional commitment through the law enforcement agencies continues to show the government’s determination to hit the corruption actions and abuse of office cases in the public administration.
