The centre of Boboshtica in Korça, which has been included in the programme of 100 villages will be revitalized thanks to the govt. project for urban requalification of this important area which will become a true tourist destination. PM Edi Rama saw first- hand the project which entails the raki museum expected to arouse the interest of visitors in the tourist village.
“Boboshtica is part of 100 villages’ package. It is an important destination in Korça, famed for its restaurants and added to that the raki museum will increase the flow of visitors,” Mayor of Korça Sotiraq Filo said.
“The idea is to create functions that make the village vibrant, requalify the entire surrounding area to provide a good example showing how all these almost abandoned private homes can transform into guesthouses. In addition to the raki museum, the idea is also to unify the buildings facades to turn the village into a tourist attraction,” the Minister of Culture Elva Margariti said.
The 100 Villages Programme and agritourism investment projects with the support of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) also include the transformation of this village famed for perennial mulberry tree and raki- making in an attractive spot on the tourist map of the country.
