The park behind the Prime Minister’s office was transformed today, for the first time, in a big stage of the song. The Prime Minister welcomed a request by the singer Rona Nishliu to introduce here her new album, and so the space was made available to the public.
Nishliu and her quartet had an impressive performance for hundreds of young people and fans of songs from the new album “Our motives”, a new version of old Albanian songs tailored to jazz rhythm. The concert was attended also by Prime Minister Edi Rama and wife Linda.
With some ideas of the Prime Minister, various premises of the Prime Minister’s Office and its park have been transformed for over a year in a space available to the public. They have often hosted exhibitions and promotions.
“Tonight I have the role of prime waiter. Perhaps some of you remember that last year we had an idea to follow here, in this new, green and public space the world championship final, but rain did not allow us. The person who gathered here tonight is a finalist of the European championship, Rona Nishliu, whom I applaud and welcome. She made me a request and told me that she wanted to present her new album in Tirana, and possibly in this space.
For me it was a privilege, and it is a privilege for all of us. This space was opened to the public and it will continue to be available to the public, to artists, fans and to anyone who has an idea, and of course they will have it without rent”- the Prime Minister said in his speech as host of this event.
