During his official visit to the State of Kuwait, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a series of important meetings with senior leaders of the institutions of the hosting country.
Prime Minister Rama was received with an official ceremony by the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. During bilateral talks between Albanian and Kuwaiti delegation, emphasis was placed on promoting economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in tourism and water sectors. Prime Minister Rama informed his Kuwaiti counterpart on the reforms undertaken by the Government and the potential that our country offers to foreign enterprises interested in investing in Albania.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Foreign Minister Bushati and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ahmetaj signed four memorandums of understanding with their counterparts in the field of cooperation and development of industrial exports, environmental protection, natural resource conservation, sustainable development and health cooperation. In addition, they signed an agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
Prime Minister Rama was received also by the Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Naëaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and by the Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker.
