Delina Ibrahimaj

Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj was born in Tirana on December 23rd, 1983. She currently holds the position of Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate as of September 2023.

Prior to this role, Mrs. Ibrahimaj served as Minister of Finance and Economy. In November 2012, she was awarded a Doctorate (PhD) in Banking and Finance from the “Tor Vergata” University in Rome, Italy.

In December 2009, she was awarded the degree of Master of Science in General Management from the University of “Luigi Bocconi” in Milan, Italy, where she had previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management and International Economics.

Ms. Ibrahimaj has completed several training programs, including the Trainer Development Program held from March to June 2016, and training as an Anticorruption and Good Governance trainer. The latter program, a joint effort by the Albanian School of Public Administration, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Albania, the National Coordinator against Corruption, and the Italian Government of Public Administration, was part of the “Support of Anti-Corruption Measures in Albania” project. In 2016 and subsequently, Ms. Ibrahimaj served as a member of the Statistics Council (INSTAT). In 2017 and thereafter, she was a member of the Governing Council of FED Invest and also of the Social Insurance Institute. Ms. Ibrahimaj possesses extensive work experience. From 2019 onwards, he was the General Director of Taxes.

Prior to this, from 2016 to 2019, she held the position of General Director of the Institute of Statistics and was coordinator for Financial and Economic Affairs, also serving as a member of the operational room at the Prime Minister’ Office during 2015-2016. Before these positions, she was an economist at the Bank of Albania from 2011 to 2015 and a Senior Financial Officer, as well as a Board member near Tirana Ekspres. Between 2007 and 2010, she was General Manager of Urban Distribution, ltd. and from 2005 to 2007 was Manager of the Albanian Distribution Association ltd. in Tirana, Albania. She is fluent in English, Italian, and French.
