The post-earthquake reconstruction programme has fully delivered on the urban transformation of the town of Shijak with the construction of new, stronger and more beautiful residential buildings and single family homes already complete.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, who attended the lot-drawing procedure for the distribution of the new housing units to the quake-affected families on Monday, also toured the new residential neighbourhood with 31 multifamily residential that will be populated by 637 families within this month, while work is still underway on completion of the aboveground infrastructure, as well as making service units and recreational spaces operational.

Meanwhile, the kindergarten No. 2 is another educational facility, a brand new three-storey building with a construction floor area of 405 square meters, will provide optimum conditions for a total of 110 children of local community in line with the EU standards.
