Another water supply system is scheduled to complete in the next two months, a project designed to ensure 24-hour water supply to around 6000 local residents in the villages of Maçurishte, Burimas, Orman and Rrembec, whereas constant 24-hour water supply is already being provided to residents in Maliq and Libonik.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by Maliq Mayor Gëzim Topçiu, inspected the ongoing work to build the new water supply network. Mayor Topçiu noted that this is one of the most important investment in water supply where more than 6,000 residents will benefit, adding that 8 km of the main network has completed.

“Many watch this and claim we are acting only now ahead of the election day. However, this is actually a programme that has been launched for several years now and is now being implemented in several parts of the country. Citizens in all urban centres across the country will receive 24-hour potable water supply within 2022,” PM Rama underlined.

The government goal is to ensure 24-hour water supply to all urban centres by 2022 and the investments projects will expand to every part of the country.
