PRIME MINISTER EDI RAMA RECEIVED TODAY MINISTER FOR MODERN SLAVERY AND ORGANISED CRIME IN THE HOME OFFICE OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, KAREN BRADLEY.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries expressed the belief that a closer cooperation is needed between our two countries, since organized crime does not only concern a single country but it is gaining an increasingly international dimension.
Prime Minister Rama said that the Albanian Government is working on reforming law enforcement authorities and strengthening investigation procedure through the establishment of a new structure, the National Bureau of Investigation. He added that, in this regard, British technical assistance and expertise will be a guarantee of success.
Prime Minister Rama and Minister Bradley expressed commitment to exploit every opportunity to increase interaction and success in the fight against organized crime.
